Refresh your breath
Add candied lemon zest to your breakfast granola or cereal with milk or yoghurt, it can also be added into tea to give extra refreshing taste, meanwhile the zest freshen your breath.
Calm down your cold
Add lemon juice and honey into hot water or tea. Lemon contains lots of vitamin C that can boost your immune system and the hot drink can also reduce congestion. Add ginger for an even more powerful elixir.
Boost your tea
Tea is rich in flavonoids, a class of antioxidants, which are most potent when tea is freshly infused. Give your tea another healthful boost by squeezing lemon juice into it. The citric acid and vitamin C in that squeeze of lemon help preserve the flavonoids.
Seasoning power
Season meat, rice and vegetables with lemon powder. Use a grater or zester to remove the zest from lemons. Spread the zest evenly on a plate or a baking sheet and allow to dry for 2 to 3 days. Then crumble the zest into a powder by using your fingers, store the powder in an airtight container.
Remove stains & odors
Help remove stains and odors from cutting boards. Rub half a lemon on the surface, let stay for 15 to 30 minutes, rinse and repeat if needed.
