A delicious one-pot meal.
Nothing says lovin like some spicy Louisiana cooking. I absolutely LOVE making this when I have the time. I'm toning down the amount of creole seasoning that I use, because I tend to be a little heavy handed with it. The amount is an approximate - season to your taste. Fell free to substitute cajun seasoning for the creole. It's all about personal preference. Enjoy!!

I love these spiced chick peas. It was so tasty, and very easy to make. I cooked the mixture a little longer, just wanted a thicker consistency, and I served it with toasted pita bread. YUM!
The way my Grandma used to make it. Very hearty and comforting.
Made this soup a few days ago. I absolutely loved it, and enjoyed it. I did not detect any nasty smell that one of the previous reviewers mentioned. Instead it came out very tasty and flavourful.
A little to hearty to be called a soup, this recipe is a great way to use left over pulled pork. Such a crowd pleaser, I can't keep it in my house! Great eaten with crackers or your favorite tortilla chips.
