Last week we create an original recipe for Key Lime Pudding Cake. I know it's original because I created it willy nilly to satisfy a late night craving for something using key lime juice I had. It's been a hit, getting good social attention and it's gosh darn good.
Try a Google search for “key lime pudding cake” however and we're no where to be found. Even trying a search for “key lime pudding cake recipeland” (our site name) and get everything other than a direct link to the recipe.
We found:
“Hazelnut meal recipes” from our site. Huh?
More disturbing we start seeing: A self-saucing cake that magically creates it's own tangy _ key lime _ curd.
Hey that's the recipe description that I wrote myself, creative works that is. At least that's what the user would want to find. However that's some site that scraped and repackaged our creative work. Now why would that appear instead of a direct link to the actual recipe? Certainly not to improve the user experience.

It's obvious these sites remain unaffect by Google's Panda algorithm. It's easy to see why. Panda loves shallow content.
Our actual content isn't worthy, but there's literally thousands of sites that find republishing our BRAND that we've been building over decade is worthy of mention. It's just not worthy of sending the user to the page they really want to see.
No where in the top 100 results can you find the actual recipe that the user is looking for.
