On Wednesday, January 12th at 11 a.m. PST Jamie Oliver kicked off his newest effort to change the unhealthy eating habits of American kids, bringing his “Food Revolution” to the streets of America’s second largest city – Los Angeles, CA.
According to monstersandcritics.com, this new effort piggybacks on Oliver’s successful healthy eating campaigns across the United Kingdom and in Huntington, WV.
Oliver has spent the past five years helping people around the world transition to a diet focusing on fresh ingredients instead of unhealthy, over-processed foods, both at home and in the school system.
Oliver’s methods to transform the way kids eat mirror the old saying, “When you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. But if you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”
Teaching young people and families to prepare nutritious and delicious meals that are fresh and inexpensive through Jamie’s Kitchen in the Westwood area of Los Angeles will give the next generation the tools they need to stop the obesity epidemic currently gripping our nation and lay the foundation for a lifetime of good health.
