Directions
Melt 2 tablespoon butter in saucepan over medium-low heat.
Once butter is melted, add can of sweetened condensed milk.
In a small glass, mix cocoa powder with 1 tablespoon water to dissolve cocoa powder.
Once cocoa powder is dissolved, add it to sweetened condensed milk mixture.
Stir with a wooden spoon over medium-low heat for at least 20 minutes, although it could take up to 40 minutes.
Make sure to keep stirring Brigaderios so that it does not burn on sides of pan. Brigaderios will thicken as it cooks.
Brigaderios are ready when you drag a wooden spoon through the center and it stays separated for a few seconds and when you turn the spoon upside down, the Brigaderios stick to the spoon for a few minutes before dripping into the pan.
Pour the Brigaderios into a glass pie pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes until cool and firm.
When ready, butter hands and use a small spoon to scoop out Brigaderios. Roll into a ball in your hands and then roll in chocolate sprinkles or powdered sugar.
You should make about 25 Brigaderios from this recipe.
Store in the refrigerator.
