Directions
Preheat the oven to 350℉ (180℃).
Lightly coat a 9 by 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray, then line with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, oats, dried fruits and chocolate chips until well mixed.
Add the vegetable oil, honey and applesauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Bring to a boil and remove from the heat.
Pour the honey mixture to the oats mixture.
Stir with a wooden spoon until well combined.
Place the mixture into the prepared pan.
Using the back of a spoon or a measuring cup press mixture evenly and firmly into the pan.
Bake for about 30 minutes, or until golden and firm to touch.
Let it cool in the pan on a wire rack to room temperature.
Cut into bars.
Note: You can use any dried fruits, such as prunes, raisins, dried cherries.
The bars can be kept in the a air-tight container in the fridge for at least 1 week or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
