Banana, Almond Butter & Cacao Energy Bites
Banana, Almond Butter & Cacao Energy Bites

These easy to make, no-bake truffle treats are so delicious and full of nutrition. They make the perfect after dinner sweet treat, and the best part about this recipe is they keep in the freezer so you can just take them out as and when you need them. We love the combination of bananas and almonds, we discovered it recently while making my new ice-cream recipe, so this sweet snack has soon become a new favourite of ours. The ingredients in this recipe are all wholesome and all have anti-aging benefits, so if you’re looking to turn back the clock this is a fail safe as it’s full of magnesium (nuts, seeds and banana) probiotics (cacao) and polyphenols (cacao). If you find it difficult to blend the dates in your food processor a good tip is to soak them in hot water for a few minutes first which should soften them.

Introduce a handful of pecan nuts into your diet to ensure you are getting a good supply of vitamins, minerals and protein. Bananas contain fibre, potassium and have 33% of the daily recommended amount of Vitamin B6. Enjoy this fruit and nutty treat!

Banana & Almond Ice Cream
Banana & Almond Ice Cream

If you haven’t tried making banana ice cream (or nana nice-cream as it’s sometimes called) then you need to give it a go. It’s super delicious and really easy to make. All you need to do is freeze chopped up bananas, then blend them – We absolutely love it. Be sure to use really ripe bananas. They should be quite soft and really sweet, it’s such a great way of using up over ripe bananas too so they don’t go to waste. We’ve added a couple of ingredients to this version and we’re not disappointed with how it’s turned out, as it tastes great.

Banana Coffee Breakfast Shake

For those of us who cannot really chew in the morning, but still need some intake with nutritional value and the awakening effect of coffee - a breakfast which helps you and yours to make it through the day. Sour cream and heavy whipping cream instead of milk is handy, as they last longer in the fridge, and for the bananas you can also take those which are already brown.

No-Bake Banana Oatmeal Cookies

What makes these vegan cookies even more apeeling is that they require no baking time, limiting the flop factor which can intimidate so many novice bakers. They are not only high in fibre and without refined white sugar, but they also include the beneficial qualities of coconut oil and the (very on-trend) chia seeds. Smashed out in ten minutes and placed in the fridge until set, you can chill out at the same time, knowing they will turn out fab! No bake, no problem!

This delicious strawberry frappe recipe is healthy, full of nutrition and tastes divine. We’ve used frozen bananas for this recipe as it makes the drink nice and cold, but if you don’t have time to freeze, there’s no need, just refrigerate the smoothie for a short while before serving.
