Excellent bread. Nice, light texture and good crust. I will add more caraway next time, though, as we really like that flavor. I doubled the recipe to make a large loaf, and it worked fine. I usually just use my machine for the kneading process and than finish the loaf by hand, but let the machine do the whole thing this time, since I was busy all day. Made the house smell great, and was perfect with a steaming bowl of split pea soup! Thanks for this keeper.

For all of the trouble that this cake is to make the RAVE reviews are more than sufficient reward. The recipe I had years ago called for a dollop of sour cream as a garnish. That worked for me.
Definitely a five star recipe. I used salami instead of ham, because that was all I had at the moment, and it came out delicious. If you are a big fan of Chinese food and would't mind cooking in your own kitchen, you should give it a go. By the way, chow fan (fun) is how Chinese say fried rice. Happy Cooking :)

Bitter winter greens made incredibly tasty. The collards are quickly braised to tame any bitterness then mixed with crispy prosciutto, garlic and cayenne pepper for a bit of kick and lemon for a bit of brightness. Healthy winter greens for a solid deep south down-home flair.
